“Congress Reykjavik has been organising the Icelandic Road Administration’s Research Conference for us for many years now, and has also worked on the preparation of our many big and small assemblies, meetings and trips with foreign guests.
Congress Reykjavik is currently working on organising Via Nordica, which will be held at the new Harpa Reykjavik Concert and Conference Centre in June 2012, and will be the biggest conference in this field ever to be held in Iceland.
Without exception, Congress Reykjavik’s staff always perform their tasks in a professional manner and their uniquely positive and personal approach makes all our dealings with them particularly pleasurable.”

Congress Reykjavik’s collaboration with us was exemplary in every way and the assembly was particularly successful. The action plan was well though out and deadlines were observed.

“We have had a good working relationship with Congress Reykjavík for many years now in connection with our symposiums and the association’s meetings. Every autumn the association hosts a 200 member symposium, coupled with its Annual General Meeting and main meeting. The event is held in a different part of the country every year.
Congress Reykjavík has been organising and managing these events for many years now, and taking care of registrations, as well as agreements with the hotels in which the events are hosted, catering, accommodation and financial settlements.
Congress Reykjavik’s collaboration has been characterised by the good service and reliability of its staff, which is reflected in the fact that there has never been any need to alter the arrangements of previous years.
In the hope that this good collaboration will continue in the future.”

“In the spring of 2008 the Visit Reykjavik office hosted the European division’s IFEA (International Festivals and Events Association) congress.
Since most of the guests were experienced event organisers themselves, it was important to ensure that the congress would be an event in itself, surprising, fun and, above all, professionally organised and executed.
To assist us in our preparations and implementation, we enlisted the services of Congress Reykjavík.
The staff of Congress Reykjavik immediately immersed themselves in the ideas that were being put forward, understood the kind of experience we wanted to offer our guests, and helped us to turn those ideas into reality. CR’s staff approached each task with a professional and positive attitude and solved all the unexpected issues that arose, so that they never became a problem.
Their management meant that we could enjoy the congress without any worries, in the certainty that our guests would go home satisfied.”
Sif Gunnarsdóttir
Director of Visit Reykjavik

Congress Reykjavik has taken care of many summer schools and conferences that I have been involved in over the years. In 2008, they managed the biggest international congress that has ever been held here: IAVCEI (International Association of Volcanology and Chemistry of the Earth's Interior)
There were over 1000 guests at the congress, some 900 of which were foreign. With Congress Reykjavík's good help, this went down as one of the association's most successful events.

“In 2007 the Project Management Association of Iceland hosted the Nordnet 2007 conference - Projects under risk. The conference was organised for NORDNET, the Network of Nordic Project Management Associations, and was held from 26-28 September at Hotel Nordica. Some 180 guests attended, both Icelandic and foreign. There were 27 lecturers, about half of which came from abroad.
When preparations for the conference started in 2005 we decided to seek the collaboration of Congress Reykjavík with a relatively small task group from the company. Congress Reykjavik’s involvement contributed greatly to the success of the conference and project. The working group was able to concentrate on the objectives of the conference and its components, while Congress Reykjavik actually took care of all the rest: finances, book-keeping, organisation, travel proposals, bookings and all those countless little details that crop up in the management of an extensive and complex project such as an international conference. Moreover, the staff of Congress Reykjavik was an inexhaustible and invaluable well of knowledge on all aspects of conference planning and event management. Last but not least, the collaboration with the staff of Congress Reykjavik was exceptionally good, thanks to their attitude, approach and professionalism.
Nordnet 2007 conference was a great success. The participants, speakers and working group were happy with the fruitful project, which Congress Reykjavík played a large role in.
I fully recommend Congress Reykjavik’s services.”
Guðmundur Hannesson
Head of Advisory Division State Trading Centre

"In the autumn of 2008, we approached Congress Reykjavik to assist us in the preparation and organisation of the Nordic Conference in Gerontology, which was to be held in the spring of 2010 (20 NKG). This was an unusually difficult time to organise a conference, due to the economic downturn. It soon became clear that we needed to find an alternative conference venue because the construction of the Harpa Conference Centre would not be completed on time. As the date approached and the foreign delegates we were expecting at the conference were planning their journeys, clouds of volcanic ash were blasted into much of Europe's airspace, with all the well known consequences on air travel and congress tourism.
Congress Reykjavik's staff navigated us through this turbulence and never deviated from our set goals.
The conference was hosted at the Hilton Nordica with the participation of over 525 guests. Some 200 presentations were delivered and more than 100 posters displayed in addition to various other meetings co-ordinated by Congress Reykjavik. A meeting at the end of the conference assessed how successful it had been and the team of Nordic scientists praised the entire organisation of the conference.
Congress Reykavik's services are characterised by a high level of professionalism, reliability and necessary flexibility. Its staff has a great talent for adapting to unexpected events, both big and small, and that talent was greatly put to the test on this occasion.
It is therefore with great ease that we can fully recommend Congress Reykjavik's services.“
Jón Snaedal,
president for the 20 NKG and the
Nordic Gerontological Federation (NGF)

"The Pediatric Cardiology Association entrusted Congress Reykjavik with the task of organising and supervising the XL Nordic Pediatric Cardiology Meeting, which was held at the Hilton Reykjavik Nordica on 23-25 September 2010.
The meeting was a resounding success in every aspect. The dinner party and setting were delightful.
We are grateful to all concerned; this conference could not have been held without the assistance of Congress Reykjavík"
