Symposium Presentation Guidelines
Each presenter will have 10 to 12 minutes for his/her presentation, leaving an additional 3 minutes for questions and discussions after the presentation, unless other arrangements have been specified in the original symposium proposal that was submitted to the congress. Those responsible for each symposium session will have to organize a chair/discussant that will facilitate questions and discussions after each presentation.
It is very important that presenters respect the given time limit and prepare their presentation accordingly.
Presentations should be prepared in power point. Computer and projector will be provided by the congress. No over-head projector will be available.
Presenters should arrive at the location of their session 15 minutes before the scheduled beginning of their session. Bring your presentation on a USB drive so it can easily be uploaded to the congress computer. An assistant will be available to help with this. Please note that uploading presentations from a personal computer will not be possible.
During the congress, presenters can visit a preview room in the congress building, Harpa, in rooms Vík and Nes on the 4th floor, where they can view their presentations on a computer to ensure that all is in order. You may also upload your presentation up to three days in advance on the computer in the lecture hall after the conference starts. Please place the presentation in the desktop file folder with the name of your symposium session.
