The Pompeii of the North – Westman Islands tour
The Westman Islands are truly a wonder of Nature. The transfer bus will take you to the pier at Bakkafjara on the south coast (about a one hour drive) and from there the ferry takes another 30 minutes to reach the islands. There you will be greeted by a local guide and join a bus tour around Heimaey island. We will visit the puffin nesting area in Storhofdi and walk up to the crater of a volcano that erupted only a few years ago, as well as explore the flora of the new lava field. We will then join a boat cruise that will take us to see colourful ocean caves, thousands of seabirds and, occasionally during the summer, groups of whales. On the return from the cruise we will enjoy instrumental music in the natural echo chamber of the ocean cave Klettshellir.

Snorkeling in Silfra – Into the Blue Tour
The Silfra fissure is one of Iceland’s best kept secrets. Silfra, which is situated in the heart of Thingvellir, the site of the world’s oldest parliament, is an otherworldly place. The crystal clear water in the deep fissure gives you a feeling of being weightless as you float down with the lazy current. Frequently rated as one of the world’s top ten diving sites, the Silfra offers up to 100 meters of underwater visibility and is located on top of the rift between the American and European geological plates! After an hour of snorkelling we will climb out and head back to the car. Into the Blue is a relaxing but exotic trip in an environment most people will only encounter in their dreams.

The summer season is great for whale watching, when the wildlife in the bay is at its peak. This is the time when the migrating whales and birds entertain us with their magnificent presence in the happy company of the resident whales. Commonly seen are minke whales, white-beaked dolphins, harbour porpoises and humpback whales. During the puffin season, between mid May and mid August, we stop by one of the puffin islands for a closer look at these charismatic birds.

City tour – Greater Area Reykjavik Sightseeing
This tour includes the most significant places in the capital area and surrounding towns. We will visit the presidential residence at Bessastadir, as well as Hafnarfjördur, the town where the “hidden people” and humans live together in harmony. There we also visit the old fishing harbour.
In Reykjavik we go to the viewing platform of Perlan, which is built on water tanks that hold the cities hot water supply. We visit the Höfdi house, where the historical summit between former U.S. President Ronald Reagan and former U.S.S.R. Secretary General Mikhail Gorbachev took place in 1986. We also visit Hallgrímskirkja church and the old town centre where the Icelandic parliament Alþingi and town hall are situated. You will also be shown the sports and recreation area in Laugardalur, with its geothermally heated outdoor swimming pool, and sculptures crafted by Asmundur Sveinsson.

Horseback riding and Blue Lagoon
This popular tour is an ideal combination of Icelandic horse riding followed by the rejuvenating magic of the Blue Lagoon. Your ride follows smooth riding tracks through bushy hills and moss-covered lava fields. You will see how the lava fields vary according to their age and enjoy the different shapes of the lava. After a ride of 1 ½–2 hours, we will drive to the fabulous Blue Lagoon where you can choose to swim in the mineral rich water, enjoy a massage or just relax and enjoy the facilities (the bathing fee is not included in the tour price).

Walk through Ice AND Fire – IMG 02
This is a tour that combines two of Iceland‘s natural highlights, hot springs and glaciers, as well as the notorious Eyjafjallajökull volcano! This day tour starts in the Hengill geothermal area, located at the foot of an old volcanic cone. There you will take a 2–3 hour walk past a series of beautiful hot springs on your way to the Reykjadalur valley where you can enjoy a bath in a beautiful warm stream. The tour then continues by car right past the Eyjafjallajökull volcano towards the great Myrdalsjökull glacier, one of the largest in Iceland. A glacier walk on the the Solheimajökull glacier tongue between ice sculptures, ridges and deep crevasses will complete your day. A tour that offers both magnificent nature and scenery.

Golden circle tour
This popular excursion introduces you to some of the best known historical sites and natural phenomena in Iceland.
We will start by visiting Nesjavellir, a high temperature geothermal area in the scenic landscape of Lake Thingvallavatn. From there we will go to the Thingvellir National Park, where the Icelandic Parliament Althing was founded in the year 930 AD. Thingvellir is a geological marvel and its tectonic plate boundaries form breath-taking scenery.
We will then continue to the beautiful Gullfoss waterfall, where we will be able to walk so close to the edge that we might even feel the mist of the glacial water on our faces.
From Gullfoss we will drive towards the geothermal area around the incredible spouting hot springs of Geysir and Strokkur. After a stop at the Geysir area, we will proceed to the Fridheimar farm to see some beautiful Icelandic horses. The farm offers a horse show that sheds light on the history of the Icelandic horse and demonstrates its various gaits in a pleasant and professional environment. The show takes about 15 minutes, after which guests are welcome to walk around and have some refreshments. After the show, we will visit Skalholt church, the ancient seat of the Icelandic bishops, and on our way back to Reykjavik we will drive through Hveragerdi, a small and charming horticultural village.
