Grants

Grants for the participants at the 20th NKG

The Nordic Gerontological Federation offers 13 grants for the participation in the congress. For each Nordic Country there are two grants and for each Baltic Country there is one grant.  

  • Each grant is NOK 4.000. Those who are accepted to receive a grant do not have to pay the congress participation fee. They have however to  pay for accompanying person
     
  • The grants can be applied for by researchers in gerontology and geriatrics who do not have a senior position. The grants are for those that have difficulties raising funds to cover the cost of attending the congress. It is required that the applicants submit an abstract together with the grant application. The grant will not be awarded without an approved abstract.
     
  • The application must include the following information: name, age, education, employment, situation and reason for applying. The application will be evaluated by the local scientific committee, the president of the congress and the president of the NGF.
     
  • Application deadline is the same as for the abstracts, 31. January 2010.
     
  • Applications should be sent to the president of the congress on e-mail jsnaedal@landspitali.is
